JAMMU: Under the esteemed guidance and visionary leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain,  two students of M.Sc. Biotechnology program Mr. Nikunj and Mr. Pranjal,  at the Centre for Molecular Biology, Central University of Jammu, have been selected for the prestigious Summer Research Fellowship 2025, jointly offered by the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), Indian National Science Academies (INSA), and the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) (IASc-INSA-NASI).

The summer research fellowship offered by IASc-INSA-NASI is very competitive and allows selected candidates to carry out research training in the institute and universities of national repute during the summer. The duration of the fellowship is eight weeks, with financial support of Rs.12,500/- per month towards boarding, lodging, and local transport expenses. The candidates were selected from the nationwide pool of applicants based on project proposal and endorsement.

The faculty members of the Centre and Director, Dr. Narendra K Bairwa, nurture and mentor the students for the best of the opportunities available to them and support them in their aspirations and career growth. Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain, congratulated the students and faculty members of CMB for their achievement and encouraged them to continue the good work.
