JAMMU: People’s Hut Foundation in collaboration with Dept. of Relief and Rehabilitation (M) J&K organised a Free Multi speciality Medical Camp at Sub District Hospital Jagti Camp Jammu .The Free medical camp was supported by Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity, Sharp Eye Sight Eye Hospital Jammu, KIRF and Directorate of Ayush J&K. A Day long medical camp at SDH Jagti Jammu focussed on providing essential medical check-ups and medicines to the local population, particularly elders, women, and children.
These camps Under "Mobile Health Clinic Program" are part of the People’s Hut Foundation’s commitment to contribute to the well-being and healthcare accessibility of citizens in the country, specifically J&K and these are supported by Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity under their Sehat Choupal Initiative. At these medical camps, patients had the opportunity to consult with specialist doctors, including Physicians, Physiotherapists, Oncologists, Dermatologists,Gynecologists,Opthomologists, Dentists, Orthopaedic specialists and Diagnostic Services ensuring a wide range of medical issues could be addressed comprehensively.
The camp was organised under the supervision of Dr. Arvind Karwani , Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) J&K and Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Deputy Director (Dent.) Directorate of Health Services J&K. Both the dignitaries while inaugurating the camp along with Dr. Sanjay Raina, Medical Superintendent SDH Jagti praised the commitment of People's Hut Foundation in the field of healthcare under its Mob
The initiative by the NGO People’s Hut Foundation highlights its multifaceted role in the region, extending to humanitarian and social welfare activities. The Director and CEO of the foundation Dr. Rohit Koul said the availability of specialist consultations marks a significant step towards improving healthcare access and outcomes for the local population, who often face challenges in accessing quality medical care. A total of 242 Patients were provided with free medical services in the camp. The initiative has been widely appreciated by the communities, reinforcing the positive impact of such outreach programs on the lives of the people in J&K.
Ayush Department also provided their services and was represented by Dr. Himani Bhutyal and Dr. Pallavi Dutta and Mr. Vijay Bhat. Ortho and Physiotherapy doctors were provided by KIRF and included Dr. Imran Khan and Dr. Qazi Anosha. Ophthalmology, Eye Testing and Screening was provided by Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals Jammu. Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity provided the specialist doctors namely Dr. Richu Sharma, Dr. Nidhi Thakur, Dr. Harsheen Bali, Dr. Subby Kakkar along with the management staff Mr.Dinesh Sharma, Mr. Ritvik Mahajan, Ms Dhruvi and Mr. Mehran Masood Dar.
During inauguration of the health camp, Dr Arvind Karwani,Reliefand Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) J&K asked residents to take full advantage of these Multi Speciality Medical Camps.The camp was widely appreciated by locals, especially the old age residents and women of the area, who benefitted the most from the services provided.
They thanked the organizer Sh. Muktesh Yogi for making essential healthcare accessible at their doorstep. The event saw participation from medical professionals, volunteers, and social workers, who all worked together to ensure smooth execution of the initiative.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sharma. Deputy Director (Dent.) J&K Health Services J&K added that the overwhelming response from the community highlights the importance of such medical camps in bridging the gap between specialized healthcare facilities and those who struggle to access them. He also promised to extend full support to such camps and these shall be organized in the future to cater to the needs of the underprivileged sections of society.

The prominent people who were present during the program and volunteered their services include Pintoo Ji, Ashwani Bhat, Sun il Pandita, Tej Krishan Dhar, Naveen Gosani, Subhash Kachroo and other volunteers from Martand KP Brigade were present to grace the occasion.
