RAMBAN: A significant event was organized in Ramban to empower young women through a comprehensive awareness program focusing on Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), menstrual hygiene, and skill development. Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary and the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer, Rahul Gupta. The event saw active participation from local students.
The program educated girl students about the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, emphasizing their legal rights and protections. This session aimed to enhance legal literacy and empower young women to seek justice and equality.
Additionally, Muzaima Banoo, Gender Specialist from the District Hub for Empowerment of Women, moderated a crucial session on menstrual hygiene management. Students received vital information on maintaining menstrual health, breaking menstrual stigma, and effective use of sanitary products, promoting overall health and well-being.
The event also highlighted the importance of skill development, introducing various techniques and available facilities within the district to enhance employability and foster self-reliance among young women. The program concluded with a group photo, symbolizing the commitment of the district administration and the Department of Social Welfare to the empowerment of women.
