DODA: The Government schools in District Doda have conducted Parent-Teacher Meet in which parents provide feedback and suggestions regarding their childrenâs education. Chief Education Officer Doda Parkash Lal Thapa said the move is aimed at improving the education system and the well-being of students.
The parent-teacher meetings have become a regular feature in government schools of Jammu and Kashmir. Schools of District Doda conducted parent-teacher meetings on the theme âRole of Parents in prevention of Drug Abuse among School going Studentsâ along with understanding NEP 2020.
Parents were also made aware of various aspects of life skills. âThe role of parents and teachers has become very important for the lives of students. Along with Shiksha Saptah celebration of 4th anniversary of NEP 2020 various interventions were embarked for understanding the concept and features of NEP 2020 among the stakeholders i.e Parents Students and Teachers. The feedback by parents helps boost the education in government schools.
Such a step in government schools is a great opportunity for parents and teachers to develop a healthy and strong relationship for the holistic development of a child. âOn 26th of every month, schools conduct these meetings, in which not only academic-related issues are discussed but the mental health, health and hygiene, and personal development and well-being of students are being deliberated upon.
Some of the themes include âRole of parents during examinationsâ, âRole of parents in ensuring safety and security of school-going childrenâ, âRole of parents in developing life skillsâ, âInculcating moral values in childrenâ, âRole of parents in preventing drug abuse among childrenâ, âEmotional wellbeingâ and âUnderstanding adolescents and parenting during adolescence.
