SRINAGAR: As a part of Civic Action Programme, Police distributed education kits and clothes among school-going students from economically backward families in Budgam. The event was held in District Police Lines Budgam. SSP Budgam, Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS along with Addl. SP Budgam Shri Ragav S-IPS and other officers distributed education kits and clothes to 50 girl students. The kits consisted of school bags, stationery items, school shoes, sports shoes among other items.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Budgam said, "We believe that education is the key to empowering girls and enabling them to live with dignity, self-respect, and confidence. We are committed to promoting women empowerment in all its forms, and this programme is just one step in that direction."The efforts of the Police Department were applauded by the parents of the children, who expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the department.
