SRINAGAR: In order to strengthen Police-public relations, Police in Kulgam facilitated Police Community Partnership Group Meeting (PCPG) at Police Station Behibagh. The meeting was chaired by Addl. SP Kulgam Shri Tanveer Ahmad-JKPS, besides SHO Behibagh along with other officers and officials of Police Station Behibagh were also present in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by a large number of respectable members of the area including Numberdars & Chowkidars of Behibagh and its adjacent areas. The participants raised various issues of public importance during the meeting for their immediate redressal. Speaking on the occasion, the chairing officer said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestions and seeking public support for better policing in the area and this process will be continue in future as well.
Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, Addl. SP Kulgam assured that these issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal besides, J&K Police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society. The participants were stressed to co-operate with J&K Police in maintaining law & order in the area and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.
