SAMBA:  District Legal Service Authority Samba today organized a plantation drive in collaboration with Forest Division, Samba and People Forum for Human Values (NGO), Samba at District Court Complex Samba which was formally inaugurated by Adnan Sayeed, Chairman, DLSA Samba (also Pr. District & Sessions Judge Samba).

This event was participated by Preet Simran K. Grover, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary, DLSA Samba, Ananta Raina, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate Samba, Urvashi Raina, Addl. Munsiff, Samba, Himani Parihar, Munsiff Samba and Bharti Slathia, Ajay, Deepika Sharma, Shivali Sharma, Ritika Jamwal, Newly Selected Civil Judges (Junior Division), Range Officer Samba, officers of the Prosecution Wing of District Court Complex Samba, Ajay Gupta, President Bar Association, Samba, senior and other members of Bar Association Samba, Officers of Legal Aid Defense Counsel System Samba, Panel Advocates and staff of District Legal Services Authority Samba and also PLVs.

The objective of organizing the plantation drive was to raise awareness as to how these trees are an investment for the future generations that shall provide natural  shade in open spaces  and provide cleaner air to breathe by increasing  green cover. Besides this, the DLSA also organized a Special Lok Adalat on Bank Recovery Cases today at ADR Centre Samba.

Two Benches were constituted for settling the cases referred. Bench No. 1 was comprising of Adnan Sayeed, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Samba (also Pr. District and Sessions Judge, Samba), Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary, DLSA Samba and Bharti Slathia, Ajay, Deepika Sharma, Newly Selected Civil Judges (Junior Division) and Bench No. 2 was comprising of Ananta Raina, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Samba, Nisha Rani, Deputy Legal Aid Defense Counsel Samba, Shivali Sharma, Ritika Jamwal, Newly Selected Civil Judges (Junior Division).

A total number of 51 Cases (both Post & Pre Litigation) were taken up by these benches for their amicable settlement, out of which 03 Cases were settled, and amount of Rs. 4,25,351 was recovered in these cases.
