UDHAMPUR: In an effort to promote health and well being, students of Government Degree College Majalta participated in an essay writing competition on the topic Importance of Hygiene and Sanitation. This activity is a sequel to the activities carried under the aegis of Swacchata Phakhwada. The activity was undertaken under the Patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Shalini Sharma to raise awareness among students about the importance of hygiene practices and their impact on health and environment.
As many as 25 students participated in the activity out of which three were shortlisted. Students showcase their talent by laying importance on Health benefits, Environmental impact and overall well being. It was an effort to foster a culture of cleanliness and the college aims to contribute to the overall health and well being of its students and the community at large.
Prof. Anuradha NSS Coordinator along with Prof. Chander Mohan, Prof. Kamal Jeet, Prof. Naresh Kumar, Prof. Shahnawaz Praveen, Prof. Dalip Kumar, Vinod Kumar and Jasvinder Singh were also present on the occasion.
