SRINAGAR: The Swachtta Pakhwada campaign was formally flagged off from the Office of Vice Chairman JKLCMA Srinagar. A team of fifty employees of JKLCMA conducted a cleanliness drive at Tsontikol and Dal Lake. It was informed that JKLCMA shall conduct a wide range of activities including cleanness drives, anti-plastic drives, awareness programmes about harmful effects of single use plastic, pesticides & fungicides.
Besides, plantation drive will also be carried in the available sites to make environment neat, clean and green. During the campaign, people in the upper catchment areas will be encouraged to use organic manure in place of synthetic fertilizers which pollute water bodies.
