NEW DELHI: Leap, South Asia's largest AI-powered study-abroad ecosystem, today announced the launch of PTE Prep Programme, a dedicated preparation programme for students appearing for the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic. The programme has been developed in response to increasing consideration of PTE among study-abroad aspirants, with the test emerging as an important English proficiency option in students’ overseas education planning. The test is accepted by universities and institutions across major study-abroad destinations, including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US, Canada, Ireland and the UAE.

Based on LeapScholar’s student counselling insights, PTE was discussed in 9.6% of study-abroad counselling conversations analysed by the company. The demand signal was particularly visible among students exploring specific destinations, with 21.2% of New Zealand-focused conversations and 14.4% of UK-focused conversations referencing PTE as part of their English proficiency test planning.

Based on LeapScholar’s student counselling insights, PTE Academic was discussed in 9.6% of study-abroad counselling conversations analysed by the company. Interest was particularly strong among students considering New Zealand, where PTE featured in 21.2% of conversations, more than twice the overall average. The UK also showed significant interest, with PTE featuring in 14.4% of UK-focused conversations.

As students navigate multiple requirements during their overseas education journey, English proficiency testing has become an important application milestone. Factors such as exam format, preparation requirements and result timelines influence how students plan their testing strategy, especially when working towards university application deadlines.

The PTE Prep programme provides students with a structured preparation experience across Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening modules, combining learning content with 1,000+ practice questions and 20 full-length mock tests. The programme enables students to practise computer-scored question formats, assess their performance and identify areas requiring improvement before taking the official examination.

ā€œLanguage testing is often one of the most time-sensitive steps in a student’s overseas education journey. Students need clarity on their readiness before they invest time and money in taking the official exam. We built our PTE programme to provide a structured practice environment where aspirants can repeatedly simulate exam conditions, identify gaps and improve across all four skill areas. With 1,000+ questions and 20 full-length mocks, students can approach test day with better preparation and confidence,ā€ said Arnav Kumar, Co-Founder, Leap.

PTE Academic, delivered by Pearson, is a computer-based English language proficiency test that assesses students across Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening skills. It is widely used by students applying for overseas education and measures their ability to communicate effectively in an academic environment.

Available through the LeapScholar app, the PTE preparation programme offers access options starting from ₹199, with the comprehensive preparation package including 1,000+ practice questions and 20 full-length mock tests designed to help students prepare through repeated exam-style practice.

With this launch, Leap continues to expand its preparation ecosystem around critical milestones in the international education journey. The PTE programme builds on Leap’s existing specialised preparation offerings, including dMAT preparation for Germany-bound students and CAS interview preparation for UK applicants, as the company develops resources around different requirements students encounter while applying to overseas universities.
