KISHTWAR: In an effort to raise awareness and promote "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan," the Department of Social Welfare organised a Nukkad Natak, here today. The event, which aimed to address the growing issue of substance abuse, was held at prominent public places, including the Bus Stand and Historic Chowan Grounds, attracting the attention of a large number of local residents.

The Nukkad Natak was held under the close supervision of DC Rajesh Kumar Shavan and the guidance of District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed, who ensured the event's successful execution. Through their powerful performance, the artists emphasized the harmful effects of drug addiction and encouraged individuals to be a part of the national initiative for a drug-free society.

Similar Nukkad Nataks will also be held at prominent places in all Sub-division of the district including Subdivision Paddar, Sub-division Chatroo and Subdivision Marwah. The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is a nationwide campaign launched by the Government of India, focusing on educating the public, especially the youth, about the dangers of substance abuse and promoting healthier, drug-free lifestyles.
