After watching Fighter, I was not in awe for only its portrayal for patriotism. But it equally dropped the jaws of audience for its efforts to reveal the truth about atrocities, stigmatisation and discrimination that a girl child still undergoes in our country. Setting the boundaries for a girl is still common. Objectification of womanhood is rising. Gender equality on the basis of ability according to the opportunity is still not practiced. Girls, however, are a blessing which makes the life possible and mankind going. Yet femininity is vulnerable to the maximum women on earth. They are made to settle for least and thank the beast for that.

In my childhood I had been taught that “women are wiser than men because they know less and understand more”. And after I grew up, I comprehended it well. Women indeed knows everything well even if she is uneducated. I have seen women (mothers/grandmothers) sharing insightful information about politics, we have seen women managing economics, we have seen women creating homes and sound relationships ideally, we have seen women parenting positively without reading any guide for that, we have seen women counselling for mental health without studying psychology. Only the thing where women stumble are the places, towns, counties and their traditions, cultures, cuisines etc.

Through this movie Deepika Padukone proved the fact that women are no less than anyone. Even after being disowned by her family after choosing INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF) she drew her parents towards her parents towards her to salute her by standing tall among all the counterparts by her determination, valour, and ability. But there could not be any possible justification or explanation to what she had undergone emotionally, mentally and socially after this abandonment.

Everyone in the theatre was cheering for fights and patriotism but I was crying for Deepika’s agony.

The movie serves an intense message to the parents and the society to upbring girls with manners and etiquettes without clipping their wings until they are ready to fly. And then they must let them fly trusting their upbringing and the atmosphere they have grew her in.
