SRINAGAR: Eminent educationist and writer Dr Joginder Singh Shan has bagged ‘India’s Status Award for Intellectual People-2018’ in recognition of flattering merit in excellence performance and outstanding contribution for the progress of the nation. Dr Shan has 26 awards in his kitty. Besides, he has bagged six medals and two gold medals for his outstanding contribution in literary circles.
Dr Joginder Singh Shan, who hails from Saimou Tral hamlet of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district is a prolific writer and has authored over 12 books in multiple languages including English, Urdu, Kashmiri and Punjabi. His name also figured in ‘Who is Who’ of the country and outside. His name has also surfaced in a book that was recently published by a renowned author in Punjab. He is also the Editor of ‘Keysar Mehkan’ magazine which hits stands quarterly.
