SRINAGAR: Mr Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Chairman Peace Foundation has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate for his outstanding contribution for Peace, Education and upliftment of the underprivileged classes in Jammu & Kashmir since the last 28 years.
He has also been awarded for his selfless works and has received the following awards:
- Jawaharlal Lal Nehru Peace Award in 2002.
- Best Nationalist Award by Former Deputy Prime Minister of India in 2003.
- Best Peace Activist Award by His Excellency Shri. S.K Sinha, Former Governor of Jammu And Kashmir State in March 2003.
- Best Peace Messenger Award By His Excellency S.K Sinha, Former Governor of Jammu And Kashmir State In 2004.
- Sadbhavana Ke Sipahi Award by Mr. Sunil Dutt in 2004 for the Service of Widows and Orphans.
- Mahatma Gandhi Peace Medal Award By A.B.R.S. in 2004 by Nirmala Desh Pandey (Didi Ji) President of A.B.R.S.
- Indo- Pak Friend Ship Award in 2004.
- In 2005, World Famous Z- Award at Occasion of World Peace Conference at United Nations South Asia Head Quarter in Bankok, Thailand.
- Souvenir Award by Sh. Gh. Nabi Azad, Union Minister for Health on 13th. August 2010 at New Delhi.
- Global Achievement Award by Global Achievers Foundation in Bankok, Thailand.
- Sister Margaret Peace award 2016 by Sister Margaret foundation on 25th November 2016.
