JAMMU: Sh. O P Sharma was awarded by Delhi Public School, Ranipur, Dehradun (U K) during the inaugural ceremony of 10th All India Contemporary Art Exhibition at Dehradun. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sh. I J S Sandhu, General Manager (Commercial & CDX), BHEL, Dehradun. Sh. O P Sharma is among ten artists awarded by DPS in this exhibition. The other artists include Archana Rani, Meerut, Archana Thareja, Panipat, Chitra Singh, Greater Noida, Nikunj Bihari Das, Balasore, Pooja Panwar, Haridwar, Pratima Singh, Kaushambi, Rajeev Semwal, New Delhi, Sadaram, Rohtak and Vinod Ranjan, Raanchi.   

 

Sh. O P Sharma has already been awarded by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (1995), Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar (2005, 2009 and 2016) and by Camlin (1995). He has held Solo Shows at College of Art, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujrat,  1994; Gujrat State Lalit Kala Gallery, Ahmedabad (1994); Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar, 2009; Rabindra Bhawan, New Delhi (2000);  Abhinav Art Gallery, Jammu (2005); Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (2006) and MKB (PG) College, Dehradun (2007) and participated in nineteen Group Shows  in different parts of the country. He has curated International, All India and state level art exhibitions in the country. Presently he is working as Director, J&K Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu.
