KATHUA: District Development Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal held a meeting to review the overall progress under 'Swachh Bharat, Swachh Vidyalaya' campaign at his office chamber in Kathua. Chief Education Officer Kathua Balbir Singh, ZEO's, AEE, JE (SSA) and other functionaries of the Education Department attended the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner held zone wise review of the progress under the campaign and called for early completion of toilet work. It was apprised in the meeting that the construction work of toilets are in its near completion stage in majority of the Education Zones. Showing satisfaction over achieved progress the DC called upon the field functionaries to complete the remaining work before the target time. He said no school in the district shall be left out from the benefit of the scheme. He directed CEO Kathua to give all out efforts to achieve hundred percent target under the campaign.
It is important to mention here that the 'Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya' campaign is one of the component of the 'Swachh Bharat Mission' launched by Government of India, under which toilets are being constructed to improve the sanitation in the government schools across the country.
