SRINAGAR: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized 4 vehicles and arrested 4 persons in Baramulla. A police party under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Shri Nawaz Ahmad-JKPS assisted by Incharge PP Palhallan seized 4 tractors and arrested 4 drivers for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Dargam Palhallan.
They have been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat and Danish Nabi son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat both residents of Chichiloora Kunzer, Tanveer Ahmad Bhat son of Mohd Akbar Bhat resident of Wanigam & Mohd Abbas Bhat son of Mohd Asadullah Bhat resident of Bouchoo Pattan.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation has been taken up. Persons found indulging in illegal extraction activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
