SRINAGAR: Chairman, Sonwar Development Forum Peer Bilal Ahmad has appealed the Government and other concerned agencies to ensure that the necessary steps are undertaken for ensuring proper, scientific preservation of various lakes and water bodies of the Valley. Peer Bilal was addressing several gatherings in different parts of the Valley during his extensive tour to get first hand information of the measures being taken for preservation of the water bodies. Mr. Bilal also appealed the people to play a proactive role in ensuring their participation of these water bodies, which are very important for our ecology, economy and other related things. He said that the people should desist from polluting these bodies as it amounts to committing a grave sin as has also been mentioned in our religious scriptures.
