JAMMU: The Utsaah Club, in collaboration with the Nature and Wildlife Club, hosted a comprehensive two-day workshop on Wildlife and Bird Photography at the University of Jammu this week. Sponsored by Nikon India, the event featured Mr. Rohit Gupta, a distinguished resource person, who conducted an illuminating theoretical session on the inaugural day.
Pramil Kumar, coordinator of the Utsaah Club, organized the workshop, which drew a diverse audience including students and photography enthusiasts of all ages. Participants eagerly engaged in the theoretical session, which took place in the seminar hall of the Department of Statistics. The session provided an opportunity for attendees to seek clarification on various aspects of wildlife and bird photography.
During the event, Mr. Arun Pratap Singh, an attendee, sought guidance on capturing images of the elusive Humming Bird. Mr. Rohit adeptly addressed the query, emphasizing the significance of shutter speed in achieving the desired results. Commenting on the workshop, Mr. Pramil Kumar said," Many students want to excel in their passion for wildlife photography, but don't get proper guidance and platform, hence Jammu University is providing them the same."
Also, he said that the University of Jammu remains committed to fostering a supportive environment for students and enthusiasts to cultivate their passion for wildlife and bird photography. With workshops like this, the university continues to empower individuals to elevate their skills and appreciation for the natural world.
