KATHUA: Under ‘PRAYAS’ an initiative of the district administration Kathua to listen to the grievances of the public telephonically, 15 callers registered their grievances today at DC Office Complex Kathua. Responding to the issues projected by different callers mostly related to the basic amenities like power supply, ration, roads, drinking water, encroachment etc, the ADDC Kathua issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers for early redressal of the grievances/ problems registered by the people in time bound manner.
MLA Ganderbal condole death of Sheikh Nazir
SRINAGAR: MLA, Ganderbal, Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Sheikh Nazir Ahmad former General Secretary of National Conference and senior political leader of Jammu and Kashmir. Describing him an astute leader of the State, Ishfaq said that the death of Sheikh Nazir has created yawning gap in the political circles of the State. He said late leader all along his life fought for the rights and welfare of the people, particularly poor and destitute section of the society. MLA said the contribution of Sheikh Nazir for keeping the NC united despite passing through a crucial phase of turmoil is the great service rendered by him.
