- Over a dozen women join Apni Party in Poonch
POONCH: Apni Party's Provincial President of the Women Wing, Jammu, Pavneet Kour has expressed gratitude to the women for expressing their enthusiasm and zeal towards the developmental agenda of the Party. As per a press release, a meeting was organized in Poonch under the chairmanship of Pavneet Kour. The meeting cum joining program was organized at ward number 9 in Poonch by District Secretary, Surjan Singh, and Mukesh Sharma.
During the meeting, the participants discussed various issues of development, and backwardness in the region because of the incompetence of the National Conference, and the Peoples Democratic Party. “These parties were involved in a divisive agenda and hence, they misled the people to get the votes ignoring the developmental issues of the local population. However, nothing was done for the people of Rajouri-Poonch,” she said.
She accused the NC and PDP for the backwardness in the region and increasing unemployment. She said that if the Party candidate, Zafar Iqbal Manhas sahab is voted to Lok Sabha, the Party will work for the overall development of the region, improvement in education and health sector, and exploration of tourism sites.
“We believe that the tourism promotion and protection of cultural heritage is important because it represents the region and its rich values,” she said. She said that the Party is committed to bring prosperity in the region with equitable development and generating employment avenues for the unemployed youth.
Earlier, she welcomed over a dozen women led by Manmeet Kour resident of ward number 9 in Poonch district into the party fold. While welcoming them into the Party fold, Pavneet Kour hoped that their joining would strengthen the Party at the grass root level and provide an opportunity to the women to represent themselves and address their issues, accordingly.
