SRINAGAR: In connection with controlling of Swine Flu disease in Valley, the Commissioner/Secretary School Education Department, Mr. Shaleen Kabra convened a high level meeting of provincial heads of Kashmir division here today. The Commissioner/Secretary also had a Video Conference with all Deputy Commissioners of the Valley including District Kargil and reviewed the measures taken by the health authorities for combating the H1N1 disease.
He was informed that the H1N1 is under control and no more case has been identified so far. The meeting was informed that Health Department has taken every possible step in this regard and all the District Hospitals have been provided medicines for treatment of such patients.
The Commissioner/Secretary also reviewed the basic infrastructure available in the Education department and instructed all the Deputy Commissioners of the Valley to manage safe accommodation for the students after the opening of schools. He instructed the Chief Education Officers to submit a report with regard to flood affected school buildings to the concerned Deputy Commissioners so that the measures would be taken for the repairs in the school buildings. Kabra also reviewed the stock position in the Valley through Video Conference and was informed that sufficient essential commodities and LPG cylinders are available in the Valley.
