JAMMU: Director Rural Development Jammu, Mohammad Mumtaz Ali conducted tour of Samba, Kathua and Jammu districts to inspect the progress of developmental works. He visited Bari-Brahmana, Vijaypur, Samba, Nud, Rajpura, Hiranagar, Marh and Nagrota Blocks of Samba, Kathua and Jammu districts and inspected a number of developmental works executed/being executed under different schemes of RD & Panchayati Raj Department.
In District Samba, he inspected Panchayat Learning Centres (PLC) in Birpur and Palli Panchayats of Block Bari-Brahamana, under construction Panchayat Ghar buildings at Jakh in Block Vijaypur, DDC office building in Block Samba, BDC office building in Block Rajpura and other developmental works executed/being executed under different schemes of RD&PR. He was accompanied by Superintending Engineer, REW, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineer REW, Block Development Officers and other field staff.
Touring District Kathua, he visited Block Hiranagar and inspected Panchayat Learning Centre (PLC) in Panchayat Kootah, Construction of lane/drain at village Kootah Mohallah Parshotam Lal Ward No. 4, Playground at GHSS Kootah and other works executed/being executed under different schemes of RDD.
Similarly, in District Jammu, inspections were carried out in Panchayat Learning Centre (PLC), Dhok Waziran, Block Nagrota to check the functioning of equipments and other development activities being carried out in the Panchayat. He also inspected ongoing work of the BDC office building at Nagrota and works including repairs and renovation of ponds, Amrit Sarovars etc. in Panchayats Panjgrain, Marh, Chibba, Bamyal, Jagti and Nadore.
He instructed the field staff to work professionally to maintain quality and timeline completion. Technical staff was instructed to closely monitor the execution of developmental works.
