DODA: The District Poshan Office (DPO) today convened a crucial meeting led by District Program Officer, Poshan, S. Paramjeet Singh to discuss the action plan to intensify Poshan Abhiyan. The meeting brought together CDPOs (Child Development Project Officers) and supervisors to discuss important issues. The primary focus was on reviewing the Poshan Tracker and ensuring daily monitoring of Anganwadi centers and SNP (Supplementary Nutrition Programme).
It further aimed to improve the monthly progress of all schemes and other aspects of the department. During the discussion, the District Program Officer emphasized the need for effective implementation of schemes under the Poshan project. He directed CDPOs and supervisors to strive for 100 percent performance with regard to the opening of Anganwadi Centres/SNP to beneficiaries as Poshan Trackers in upcoming months, considering the past performance has been lacking.
The meeting served as a platform to address challenges and set clear objectives for enhancing the effectiveness of nutrition-related initiatives in the district. It highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts and proactive measures to achieve better results. The CDPOs informed the chair that most of the Anganwadi workers are not aware of the function of poshan trackers and they are now being given training/support. The chair gave a clear message that in case the performance in this regard is not up to mark, strict action shall be initiated against the defaulting officers/officials.
