RAMBAN: District Administration Ramban, in collaboration with Jhelum and Tawi Flood Recovery Project (JTFRP) and J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency (JKERA), under the guidance of District Magistrate, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, organized a comprehensive training program on the Operationalization of Decision Support System (DSS) and Digital Risk Database (DRDB) application today here in Conference Hall of the District Administrative Complex.
Presiding the training session, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Varunjeet Singh Charak highlighted the significance of the twin applications and advised the participants to sensitize their frontline officers and officials about the operation of applications in disaster and emergency like situation to report and tackle the incident.
The training program was attended by senior officers including Assistant Commissioner Revenue, S. Harpal Singh the Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Banihal, Ramsoo, and Gool, Assistant Commissioner Development, Tehsildars of Ramban, Banihal, Ramsoo, Pogal-Paristan (Ukhral), Batote, Gool, Khari, and Rajgarh, as well as Executive Engineers and Engineers from PWD (R&B) Division Ramban, Banihal, JPDCL Division Batote, Jal Shakti, PMGSY Division Ramban and various other concerned officers.
Besides sensitizing participants through PowerPoint presentations, the resource persons including Dr. Murlikrishana, Mohammad Junaid, Consultant from RMSI and AEE, Shabeer Hussain, AE Sajad Rafiq from JTFRP, JKERA also provided handholding to participants in installing and operationalizing the Apps on their smartphones.
The programme aimed to enhance understanding and proficiency in utilizing the Decision Support System (DSS) and Digital Risk Database (DRDB), crucial applications for efficient decision-making and risk management. These collaborative efforts of all the stakeholders have utmost significance towards bolstering disaster preparedness and ensuring the welfare of the community.
