KUPWARA: Child Welfare Committee Kupwara in collaboration with the Police department, Labour department, Child Helpline and District Child Protection Unit Kupwara today conducted a Rescue and Rehabilitation drive for children in street situations and child labour at various places in Kupwara town. 

The main objective of this drive was to identify the children in street situations and child labour. During the drive only three children were found working in different shops in Kupwara market and were rescued by the child protection team. 

Meanwhile, owners of the shops who have employed the children in their establishments, were given directions to produce the said children before the Child Welfare Committee Kupwara for further course of action as per law for the rehabilitation of the children.
