The day is celebrated on 11th of February every year, with an aim to emphasize the pivotal role which the women and girls play in the field of science and technology. The theme of the programme was “Women and Girls in Science Leadership- A new era for sustainability”. In view of the celebration, the display of a movie “The Vaccine War”, was done to the students of UG and PG in the smart class room of the institution. The movie presented how an indigenous team of scientists consisting of female bioengineers rolled out an indigenous vaccine at the height of COVIS-19 Pandemic in the race against time.

The movie was a delight to watch as it showcased the wit, ingenuity and resilience of the bio-scientists involved. The students were influenced and rejuvenated after watching the heroic performance of the female folk in the movie. The event was attended by Dr. Shally Chadha, Dr. Pallavi Jamwal, Dr. Asha Rani, Prof. Usha Devi, Prof. Komal Bangotra, Dr. Dinesh Jamwal, Prof. Sukhvinder Kour, Dr. Iesha Sharma and Dr. Sumit Sharma.
