JAMMU: In support of its pledge, by celebrating the achievements of women on eve of International Women’s Day today young women of the State were honored with “Young women achiever Awards" at auditorium College for women Parade. The event was organized by Nirvana academy - A Regd. Cultural Club & Indian Red Cross society Jammu Region in association with Government College for women parade.
The achievers were conferred under three distinguished categories “Young Women Achiever Award” “Honour of Excellence“ & “Certificate of Excellence” for individual excellence and contribution in their respective fields. Shantmanu Divisional Commissioner was Chief Guest on the occasion who presented Achivers awards to the women in different categories at award function. Mrs Hemla aggarwal Principal of the College was Guest of Honour on the occasion along with R C Puri Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Jammu region.
As many as 50 young women achievers were honored on the occasion in respective categories. The women who were conferred Young women achiver award & Certificate of excellence includes Sushma Chahuan(IAS), Arunima Sinha (Spirituality), Aarushi Thakur (Drama & Theater), Mukteshi Sharma (Music), Sapna Soni (Film, TV &Entertainment), Anuradha Seth Kohli (Dance), Navneet Kour (Social activist/NGO), Mrs. Rashim Anand (Education), Dr. Neelam Khajuria (Health & wellness), Suneeta Bhagat (RJ/VJ), Shivangi Gupta (Entrepreneur), Bhanu Priya Sharma (Media),Dr Milan Sharma(Painting and Visual Arts) along with Sunita Kargotra (Chief Prosecutor Officer) and Sister Therese Franicis as special outstanding women.
The award of Excellence along with certificate was conferred among Manika Sharma & Palavi Sharma (Sports), Juhi Singh (Drama & Theater), Indu Bala (Music), Neha lalotra (Film, TV &Entertainment) , Kritika Sharma and Tanuja Chahar Chettri (Dance) ,Bushra Hassan, Deepika pandita and Rahat Mir (Social activist/NGO), Gurcharan Kour (Education), Mahua Gupta (Painting) & Gupta in (lifestyle & Fashion)
In his address Shantumanu while congratulating the award winner appreciated the efforts of the organizers for bringing together the women of different field under one umbrella. International Women’s Day encourages us to celebrate what women have achieved in the past; These women are inspirational role models and prove by example that women can achieve everything that men can in careers of their life. Mrs Hemla Aggarwal in her welcome speech said that it’s a day to recognize women’s economic, political and social achievements; past, present and future who are making a difference in the fight for women empowerment.
The receipt ants of award while speaking on occasion described award as a recognitition of their work at age when their contributions and efforts are mostly goes unnoticed. It will help us to reutilize our energies to work with more dedication and commitment to reach at goals set by them in future life. Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana a while speaking on occasion said this the 2nr event in row to mark the recoginisation of young women achievers & is hopefull that same shall continue in near future.
The event was supported by FIBDO, Surya Milk, Littile Millennium Play way schools, Darpan Beauty parlour, Mindsacape Educational & Environment Trust, Education Express and Trikuta News Express. Prominent among the others were Sh. Vikrant Dogra (Vice Chairman FIBDO), Dr. Kewal Samnotra, Sh. Vikul Gupta, Sh. Vikas Dogra, Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma, Mrs. Neeru Dhalla, S. Pardeep Dutta, Sh. Jyoti Pachnanda, Sh. Parshant Sharma and Sh. Kunal Anand. Show was anchored by Rajni Anubhav Sharma.
