LOLAB (KUPWARA): In order to promote cultural and literary heritage of Kashmir, the Information Department Kashmir Division organized a Mehfil-e-Mousiqi-cum-Cultural Programme at Lolab Kupwara today. On this occasion, the Joint Director Information Kashmir, Mr. Shafqat Iqbal was chief guest, who while speaking on the occasion reiterated the cultural and literary heritage said that such programmes would also be organized in other districts of the Valley.
The prominent folk singers of the area participated in the Mousiqi, besides the local Artists and Artists of Information Department presented a colourful cultural show and enthralled the audience with their skill and art. On this occasion, the Cultural Officer Srinagar, Mrs. Shaheena Khan, District Information Officer Kupwara, Mr. Abdul Rashid Bhat, Assistant Cultural Officer, Incharge Aks-e-Parwaz Mr. Shakeel Shan, folk singers namely Nazir Ahmad Gulgami and his party besides Pahari Artist Tariq Pardesi took part in the cultural activities.
