GANDERBAL: District Youth Services and Sports Ganderbal today organized State Level Inter District Painting Competition at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal. As many as 49 school children comprising 25 boys and 24 girls from 9 districts participated in the competition. The theme for boys in the competition was “Jahan Khel Wahan Mail” while as it was “Aawo School Chalae Hum” for girls.

The event was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz. The District Development Commissioner in his speech said that the job of district administration is to polish the skills and talent of the youth through such events. He also lauded the role of District Youth Services and Sports for organizing such events.

Later, the District Development Commissioner distributed the prizes among the winners of the painting competition. In girls category Dyia Kour from Srinagar received the first prize, Salma Iqbal from Srinagar received second prize and Mahira Mushtaq from Srinagar received third prize.

In boys category Shoaib-ul-Rehman from Ganderbal received first prize, Basharat Nazir from Ganderbal received second prize and Mohammad Yaqoob received third prize. Among others, District Youth Services and Sports officer Ganderbal and District Information Officer Ganderbal were present on the occasion
