JAMMU: Art works of Jammu artists Jang S. Verman, a senior artist and Anuradha Devi and Shivali Jamwal, two young artists, are to be displayed in the Modern Art Galleries of International Centre for Roerich, IRMT at Naggar, Kullu (HP) in an International Art Exhibition of Drawings and Prints in Black & White. The Exhibition is being organized by Himachal Art Heritage, Sunder Nagar (HP) in collaboration with ArtFort India, Chandigarh and Verman Cultural Celebrations, Jammu. The exhibition would be inaugurated on 16th April, 2017 and culminate on 22nd April, 2017.

Prominent among other artists who are participating in this exhibition, are Prof. (Dr.) Clemens Beungkun Sou (South Korea), Ashiar Naeem, Dubai, Liyu Wu, Taipe (Taiwan), Ruhsar Ozer, Istnabul (Turkey), Prof. (Dr.) Takis Alexiou, Athens (Greece) and Zumrur Ozmen, Izmir (Turkey) from abroad and Naveen Dhiman, Prabhinder Lall, Sankari Mitra, Nijeena Neelambaram, Parminder Kaur, Roma Bahl, Mukesh Saini, Aradhana Tondon, Anand C S Chende, Gunita Chadha etc. from India.

ArtFort India and Himachal Art Heritage in collaboration with other organizations have already organized International Art Exhibitions at New Delhi, Kolkatta, Nagar and Jammu and Art Camp at Naggar during the recent past. Only the Black & White Drawings and Prints are being displayed in the show. The purpose of organizing a show, entirely dedicated to black & white art works, is to revive the mediums in long tested visual expressions used by our ancestors to express and share their views. Further Black & White works are not involved in details which create diversions in the imagination of the viewers.

The third view in this regard is that while viewing Black & White visuals the viewer merges his ‘imaginative fill ups’ to complete the visuals according to his wish. The three artists from Jammu viz. Jang S. Verman, Anuradha Devi and Shivali Jamwal have already participated in many art exhibitions and camps in and outside the state at state, national and international levels.
