JAMMU: Lalded Women Welfare Society (Regd.) staged a nukkad play namely “Mobile is my best friend” to its ongoing Saturday Series on 02/05/2015 at Janipur Jammu. The play is conceived & written by Rampaul & directed by Naveen Pal. While seeing our young generation is quite openly misusing the mobile device resulting into fatal accidents during rash driving etc.
The story of the play opens with a group of students in the college, who are carrying mobile phones in the hands putting earphones in their ear to enter in the class room. As the class resumes, the English teacher while teaching grammar subject says to all the students to write down an essay on “My best friend”. All the students are happy for their desired essay topic. The competition lasts for 1 hour time period, the teacher asked them to handover their answer copies to him but after checking the copies, he found that almost all the students wrote “Mobile is my best friend” instead of a person as their best friend.
The teacher astonished how much they love to their mobile setsand treat as best friend. He at once enquired about the background and asked why it is so? On this every student one by one replied that they get a lot of information and data of different agencies by pressing of button and also we are preparing our notes and assignments on basis of information instantly, which a living person cannot. But after listening patiently, the teacher asked have you ever thought about the other side of the coin that how much it is being misused and what are its side effects ? No?
Let me inform you that you all are keeping mobiles with your body & there is sharp radiation emanating which affecting our body directly. We need not to use ear phone on maximum volume limit, which also damage our hearing capacity and we used on need basis and to avoid eye sight and above all you need not to fall pray of fraudsters who are giving fake call etc. So, if you note down certain precautions then definitely this is a wonderful device to be treated as our best friend. Those who played in are Rampaul (Writer/Actor/Social Worker & Coordinator to LWWS), Naveen Pal (Actor/ Director), Santosh Bastora, Sonu, Sunil etc. The play was highly appreciated especially the script which created awareness among youths.
