JAMMU: Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party & Former Member of National Integration Council has regretted that the manifestos of all political parties have omitted ‘the national integration’ from their manifestos in this year election in 2019. NPP Supremo questioned the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, President and the leadership of all political parties contesting Lok Sabha election in 2019 as to why the entire mission/commitment to the national agenda, ‘national integration’ has been wiped of from the respective manifestos of all national and regional political parties which stand recognized by the Election Commission of India with the assurance that the national integration shall be a commitment of all the political parties seeking recognition of the Election Commission of India. NPP Supremo urged the Election Commission of India to take appropriate action against all those political parties including the Indian National Congress, the BJP and other regional parties which have not included the commitment of the respective political parties to the national integration in their manifestos in the ongoing Lok Sabha election.
NPP Supremo reminded the leadership of all political parties that mission, ‘national integration’ was incorporated in 1963 by conference convened by the then Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. This commitment, declaration continued in the manifestos of all recognized political parties till the BJP government was installed under the prime ministership of Shri Narendra Modi in 2014.
He also expressed shock that not a single recognized political party which is included in the National Integration Council by its status as recognized political party. He said that it was Mr. P.V. Narasimha Rao as a Prime Minister of India when he constituted National Integration Council, included National Panthers Party, the then President and he continued as a Member of NIC till Shr Modi assumed the premiership of the country.
He reminded the entire leadership of the country from the left and the right of this issue and addressed several letters to the Prime Minister Modi demanding constitution of National Integration Council. According to the constitution of the council Prime Minister of India right since 1963 remained ex-officio President/Chairman of the Council.
Prof.Bhim Singh regretted that neither right nor left nor the middle thinking political parties utter a word of this issue which concerns the very issue of national integration and unity of the country. This was one of the unique approaches to put all political thoughts/ideologies on uniform platform and review all national issues with multiple angles on common platform with right to free vote to all the members of the NIC. Prof.Bhim Singh expressed shock that not a single political party or any leader raised this issue in the interest of national integration and glory of India with its democracy.
