The valedictory ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, invited feedback and suggestions regarding the five-day, “Nurturing Future Leadership Programme” at IIM Jammu. The participants shared their experiences and offered their suggestions.
Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, emphasized the crucial role of educators in shaping the future and invited suggestions for further enhancing the program. He commended the Ministry of Education for their initiative and stressed the alignment of the program's objectives with national educational goals. He remarked that receiving feedback from faculty colleagues is heartening and provides significant motivation to the faculty members at the Institute.
He highlighted the importance of the five-day program, noting that participants likely wrote down their expectations at the beginning and encouraged them to assess whether these expectations were met. According to him, the success of the program belongs to all the participants and the faculty members of the Institute.
He further reiterated that any institute is built on two pillars: faculty members and students. He extended an invitation to all the participants to visit both the IIM Jammu and IIM Jammu Srinagar campuses. He also emphasized that IIM Jammu and its faculty members are open to collaborating on joint research papers, with all faculty profiles available on the institute's website. This openness and transparency at the Institute aims to foster connections and collaborative work in the interest of academia and the nation.
Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics, IIM Jammu, expressed his happiness with the suggestions, feedback, and enthusiasm from the participants. He noted that the program's purpose is not to teach but to create a spark among the participants. He pointed out that engaging with students and encouraging them to ask questions can invigorate faculty members who might otherwise follow a monotonous routine. He also highlighted that the Nurturing Future Leadership Programme successfully achieved its objectives and met the participants' expectations. He emphasized that the valedictory ceremony marks not the end but the beginning of a new journey, fostering a strong network amongst yourselves for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Pratik Maheshwari, Co-Chairperson, Executive Education, IIM Jammu, Dr. Apurva, Dr. Kapil Manohar Gumte, Dr. Guangpuanang Kahmei, and Dr. Naveen Goyal, Program Directors, IIM Jammu. This was followed by the distribution of certificates to all the participants, recognizing their successful completion of the Nurturing Future Leadership Programme. The certificates serve as a testament to their dedication and hard work throughout the program.Dr. Guangpuanang Kahmei, Program Director, IIM Jammu, proposed the vote of thanks. The event culminated with the national anthem, marking the end of a transformative journey for the participants.
The Nurturing Future Leadership Programme reaffirms IIM Jammu's commitment to developing future leaders in education. Through such initiatives, the institute continues to empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a meaningful impact on society.
