JAMMU: Expressing his condolence over the demise of Raj Rani, mother of Avinash Rai Khanna, Vice President Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and incharge UT of Jammu and Kashmir, BJP State Executive Member Raman Suri today said that this is an irreparable loss and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
In a condolence meeting organised here today, Raman Suri said that this is an irreparable loss for the entire Khanna family of Garhshankar, Hoshiarpur. The meeting prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage for the family to bear this loss. Two minutes silence was also observed to pay tributes to the departed soul.
Raj Rani, mother Avinash Rai Khanna, passed away on Sunday and was cremated in Garhshankar. The last rites were performed by her younger son Sunil Kumar Lovely Khanna. Her elder son Avinash Rai Khanna, nephew Rupesh Khanna, Punjab BJP president, and MP Shwet Malik, MLA KD Bhandari, former minister Anil Joshi and others were present who laid their tributes to the departed soul.
