JAMMU: Mr. Kuldeep Kumar Rao, an active member of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice in a statement issued here said that the situation in the state of J&K is worse than anywhere else in the country. The state is governed by traditional, pseudo-secular, opportunistic and most corrupt politicians patronized by the New Delhi rulers, who have been looting and plundering the state exchequer and natural resources ruthlessly since 1947. The situation has gone to the extent that this ruthless exploitation has resulted into miseries of a common man and retribution in the form of natural calamities for which none else than these dishonest politicians are responsible.
For how long a common man will trust these traditional, pseudo-secular, opportunistic & corrupt political parties?Almost our two generations suffered a lot due to huge corruption and exploitation by the said lot of politicians of the existing political parties and whether we shall allow them for any further destruction? Whether it is not the need of the hour to educate and aware the masses of state against the ongoing selfish, pseudo-secular and opportunistic approach of so-called leaders of different political parties and other outfits in order to create an atmosphere of faith, brotherhood and sympathy among the state residents belonging to different regions & religions? Whether it is not the duty of all state citizens to unitedly work for corruption free governance, permanent peace and stability and justice?

Similarly, State of J&K according to a survey conducted by a national level agency was declared as no.1 corrupt state in the country. J&K state citizens are supposed to face the same type of sequenced scams occurred till date which are as under:- Money is being openly collected for transfers, promotions and appointments in different Government departments of J&K state while creating a complete chaos around. Some of the examples reported by the media are as under: KAS selection scam of 1972 ;SSRB related scams exposed on different occasions; Professional Entrance scam of recent past; Roshni Act implementation scam ;Lands including huge forest land grabbing scams ;Patwari recruitment scam.; Sub-standard drugs scam; Number of sub-standard construction scams of JKPCC related to different govt. buildings and bridges; Multi crore cooperative’s JAKFED scam; Rural sanitation scam; Rural electrification scam; J&K PHE scam; J&K Exams related scams; J&K Dental scam; Unlimited scams in purchases of school and higher education related equipments & materials and the latest Multi crore scam in FCS &CA Department, Rs 67 Cr worth food grains missing, sold in black market etc. For how long residents of J&K state will tolerate the constant high graphed corruption of ruling and other politicians where not a single minister or Chief Minister and big fish was put behind the bars till date & For how long people of J&K will tolerate the “Clean Chit” culture against corruption and other criminal involvements of its ruling class?
Mr. Rao has appealed to His-Excellency the Governor of J&K state to restore all snatched powers to State Accountability Commission which existed in the Act of 2002 otherwise bringing accountability in all the organs of the government would remain a distant dream. He said that SAC Chairperson Retd. Justice B.A. Khan has clearly stated that J&K state Accountability Commission Act, 2002 was stronger than the Lokpal Act of 2013 enacted by the parliament but the Legislators of the state on being misled by the bureaucrats carried out amendments in the Act in 2011 and rendered the Commission mere in ornamental piece instead of being a watchdog over the functioning of all the government institutions, universities, cooperative societies, bureaucrats and public functionaries, which was the real objective of the principal Act.
Mr. Rao said that not even a single politician or bureaucrat in the state has been arrested or convicted in the most corrupt state of the country. Some bureaucrats & politicians, convicted earlier, have managed to obtain stay orders from the High Court and are moving Scott free and working on top lucrative post under the nose of state government. He has expressed great astonishment as to why the State government has not acted to get the stay order vacated, thanks to Art.370, because under this garb the Congress & NC coalition government shamelessly made the Accountability Commission or for that matter SVC like watch dogs were made toothless tigers. The Ex. CM, Omar Abdullah is in record to have said that State J&K government need not Lok Ayukta as we have State Accountability Commission & State Vigilance Commission in the state, though toothless. Rao said that Toothless SAC, SVC or Vigilance bureau is un-necessary burden on the hard earned tax pay money of the poor public, Public want strong Jan Lok Pal at the centre & strong Lok Ayukta at the State Level.
Mr. Rao further said that traditional corrupt political system is responsible of all these scams, therefore time has come when the suffocated honest bureaucrats & un-employed frustrated educated youth to read the writing on the wall and reject all these corrupt traditional political parties on the analogy of people of Delhi and unite themselves without caste, creed or colour to form their own government under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal & bring a dramatic socio-economic change in the state. Grand alliance of corrupt parties is not the right viable alternative who are responsible for all types of Scams/ problems/ present crises. Mr. Rao said and appealed all the right thinking People, Professors, Scholars, Advocates & Educated youth and suffocated honest bureaucrats who want a change in the 70 years long corrupt & jaundiced system to come forward and join AAP in the larger interest of poor people of all the three regions of the state irrespective of caste, creed & colour or religion and region.
