BANDIPORA: As a part of the "Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan" initiative, under Civic Action Programme (CAP), police in Bandipora conducted a Debate Competition on drug abuse at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Kaloosa Bandipora.

The programme was attended by DySP Hqrs Bandipora Shri. Latief Khan-JKPS, Sr PO DPO Bandipora Mir Junaid, other senior Police officers of the district, teachers, students and other participants participated with zeal and zest.

In the event, the officers emphasized the need to protect the young generation from the menace of drug abuse, highlighting its devastating impact on individuals. They also stressed the importance of youths staying drug free and propagating the ill effects of drugs to the society thereby ensuring a Nasha Mukht Bharat.

A debate competition was held wherein the participants shared their perspectives, views, assumptions and exploring concrete solutions to the complex, challenging and pressing issue of drug abuse that threatens the very fabric of our society.

This initiative demonstrates J&K Police's commitment to eradicating drug abuse and promoting a safer, healthier community. At the end, the participants thanked Police for conducting such awareness programmes, thus building a bridge of trust between police and the youth.
