DODA: In light of the ongoing Population Mobilization fortnight, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Doda, Dr. Om Kumar, today held a virtual review meeting with all in-charges of health institutions in the district. During the meeting, the CMO emphasized the need for community-level sensitization and awareness about various family planning services.
Dr. Kumar informed that the Population Day celebration is divided into two fortnights. The first fortnight focuses on Awareness & Mobilization, where the primary aim is to encourage people to adopt family planning methods and educate them about the available contraception options. The second fortnight will concentrate on Population Stabilization, providing family planning and sterilization services to those who registered during the awareness phase.
To enhance accessibility to family planning facilities, the CMO instructed health staff to offer consultations and ensure services are available to all eligible beneficiaries. He urged all health functionaries to mobilize ASHAs and other health workers to conduct various activities during this ongoing phase.
District Immunization Officer Dr. Versha Sharma and Health Educator Mohammad Shafi Attu also attended the meeting, reinforcing the commitment to successfully implementing the initiatives planned for the Population Mobilization fortnight.
