KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, convened a meeting today to assess the progress of works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district. During the meeting, Chief Manager Power Grid briefed the DC on the status of the projects. It was informed that the RDSS, with a project cost of Rs. 126.9 crore, aims to strengthen the power distribution infrastructure in the district by installing 618 new distribution transformers and 330 km of LT Aerial Bundled Cables (ABC).
The initiative is designed to reduce Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses in Kulgam. It was informed that the physical progress of the works currently stands at approximately 22%. The DC expressed dissatisfaction with the delayed supply of distribution transformers and directed the concerned to expedite the delivery process to ensure timely completion of the project.
He instructed to mobilize men and machinery to ensure completion of projects well in time. The DC emphasized the importance of completing the works within the stipulated timeline to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution system in the district. The meeting was also attended by ACR, Ex. Engineer PDD, Tehsildar D. H. Pora and other officers.
