BARAMULLA: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa chaired a District Level Committee (DLC) meeting today at the meeting hall DC's office to review the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The meeting approved 1454 applications under the HADP scheme, aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural practices and empowering the farming community in the district.
During the meeting, a detailed review was carried out on the status of sanctioned projects under HADP, Yuva Vani Figures, and registrations on the Daksh Portal. The officers also revisited decisions made in previous meetings to ensure the effective implementation of the programme. DDC emphasized the importance of timely execution and called for better coordination among departments to achieve the desired outcomes.
The approval of 1454 applications marks a significant step toward strengthening the agricultural sector in Baramulla, improving resource access, and supporting local farmers. DDC reaffirmed the administration's commitment to enhancing the livelihoods of farmers and ensuring the success of the HADP by working collaboratively with all stakeholders.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, the Dean of Faculty of Agriculture SKUAST Wadoora, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Area Marketing Officer HM&M Baramulla/Sopore, Assistant Director Fisheries Baramulla/Sopore, District Lead Bank Manager Baramulla and Representatives of Agriculture, Horticulture departments.
