REASI: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan convened a Block Diwas at Middle School Upper Seela in Reasi district, where he interacted with local residents to address their concerns and issues.
During the Block Diwas, residents of the area highlighted several key issues including the construction of roads, a fresh survey of PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) beneficiaries, pending payments related to Amrit Sarovar and the construction of lanes and drains.
DDC Mahajan patiently listened to the grievances of the people and assured them that all genuine demands would be fulfilled within the stipulated time. He emphasized the importance of transparent governance and promised efficient resolution of the issues raised.
Addressing the gathering, DDC Mahajan underscored the criteria for PMAY housing allocation, emphasizing that priority is given to those without luxury items in their households. He reiterated the administration's commitment to ensuring that housing benefits reach the most deserving beneficiaries.
Furthermore, highlighting environmental conservation efforts, DDC Mahajan said that a collaborative initiative between the Forest Department and Education Department to organize a plantation drive across all educational institutions in Reasi district, aims to promote a greener and healthier environment.
