GANDERBAL: The District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal in collaboration with the Department of Law, School of Legal Studies, Central University of Kashmir has organized legal awareness programs in Legal Literacy Clubs of DLSA Ganderbal established in various Government Schools across the district. The objective of these programs was to educate students about their legal rights and responsibilities, to promote general legal literacy, and foster a culture of respect for the laws of the land.
The programs covered a range of topics, including basic legal rights and duties, consumer rights, women and child rights, POCSO Act, Legal Aid Services, NALSA Schemes, and Cyber Crimes and Cyber Law.
Thirty Nine number of law students participated in the said awareness programs who in five groups went to said legal literacy clubs and imparted legal awareness among almost 1500 school students of District Ganderbal. These programs aim to empower the young minds with legal awareness and equip them with the knowledge to exercise their rights and responsibilities as responsible citizens.
The enthusiastic law students also conducted an interactive session, educating the young minds on vital legal aspects that affect their daily lives. The initiative aimed to empower the school students with knowledge of their legal rights and responsibilities, enabling them to become aware and responsible citizens. The event was a resounding success, with the school students showing keen interest and enthusiasm.
This initiative is a testament to the power of legal awareness and education. By imparting knowledge on legal rights and responsibilities, we can shape a better future for our society. The school students got greatly benefited by these awareness programs as was evident keeping in view their enthusiasm & urge to learn the things
This initiative of DLSA Ganderbal has been widely appreciated by the school authorities, teachers, and students, and it is definitely expected to have a positive impact on the community at large.
