SRINAGAR: As a part of public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group Meeting was held at Neehama, Kulgam. The meeting was chaired by SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS in which representatives and prominent respectables including Auqaf Committees, Chowkidars, Traders Federations, various market associations, youth of Neehama, DH Pora and other adjacent villages participated. Addl. SP Kulgam, SHO DH Pora, IC PP Neehama and other officers/officials of Kulgam Police were also present on the occasion.

During the interaction, participants raised various issues of public importance. SSP Kulgam listened the grievances patiently and assured them that their genuine grievances will be resolved on priority and every possible help will be provided to the people of the area, besides issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned departments for their early redressal.

While speaking, SSP Kulgam assured the people of the area that J&K Police is always at fore front for protecting and safeguarding the lives and property of the people and further said that stringent action against the culprits involving in anti-social/national activity will be taken and every offender whether involved in drug menace or other crime will be strictly brought under justice. 

The participants were requested to cooperate with Police in maintaining L&O, in eradicating drug menace in the areas and in identifying anti-national/social elements so that peaceful environment will be created. Moreover, SSP Kulgam asked the participants especially elders present in the meeting that they should keep close eyes on their wards and should refrain them from indulging in any kind of anti-social/national activity and also asked the participants especially youth to study with zeal and zest so that they can qualify any prestigious Competative exam with high rank with which they can make their society progressive and will achieve prosperity in their livelihoods.

Later, SSP Kulgam distributed hearing aids among specially-abled persons under the aegis of Civic Action Programme-2023-24. While interacting with the beneficiaries, SSP Kulgam assured them all possible support from police department in order to make their lives easy and comfortable.
