JAMMU: The Relief Organisaton has issued clarification on a news report appearing in a section of press about protest lodged by the inmates of Jagti Township against power cuts, leakage of roofs and issues in distribution of ration items.

“The newspaper has not taken official version or cross checked the facts with the authorities of Relief Organisation. The article presents one-sided perspective, and has not taken into account the efforts being put by the Relief  Organisation for welfare of the migrants. There is no delay in the release of ration quota as reflected in the news article of 3rd July, 2024.

The ration quota for the month of May and June 2024 has already been released and is being issued. As far as the power cuts and leakage of roof tops of Quarters at Jagti are concerned, the matter has already been taken up with the concerned Chief Engineers for immediate action into the matter, “ the Officials clarified .
