JAMMU: Sunil Dimple, President of Mission Statehood, spearheaded an anti-Pakistan protest rally today, which saw the burning of effigies of those blamed for recent acts of vandalism and violence. The rally, held on Amphalla-Janipur High Court Road, drew participants from various religious communities including Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs, all unified in their condemnation of recent events.

Dimple led the demonstration in response to the desecration of Bhagwan Hanuman and Lord Shiva idols at temples in Nagrota and Reasi, and the martyrdom of security personnel in recent encounters in Kulgam and Rajouri. Addressing the protesters, Dimple issued a stern warning to the BJP and NDA government, threatening a Jammu bandh if the politics of temple vandalism is not halted in Jammu and Kashmir.

"The anti-social elements responsible for these heinous acts must be apprehended immediately," Dimple demanded. He blamed the BJP and NDA government for creating an environment where such actions could take place, accusing them of fostering communal tensions through their politics. Dimple specifically highlighted the destruction of Hindu temples in Nagrota and Reasi, and alleged that this was part of a larger failure to ensure the safety of religious sites and security personnel in the region.

The protest comes in the wake of an attack in Kulgam where two army jawans were martyred by Pakistan-based terrorists. Dimple suggested that the upcoming assembly elections might be fueling these acts of violence, aiming to polarize the population and create law and order issues.

Dimple issued a 24-hour ultimatum, threatening a Jammu bandh if those responsible for the Nagrota temple vandalism are not arrested. He called for communal harmony and brotherhood among all communities, urging the government to take swift action against those attempting to disrupt peace and unity.

He demanded that the Director General of Police, civil administration, and security agencies arrest the culprits behind these cowardly acts and ensure the protection of the Amarnath Yatra from anti-national elements.

Prominent leaders accompanying Dimple in the rally included Vijay Khjuria, Kulbier Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Dev Raj, Vipan Gupta, Vicky Gupta, Amit Raina, Rehmat Ali, Akbar Khan, Shafi Khan, and Sunil Kumar, among others. The protest underscored a unified call for justice and the protection of communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.
