SHOPIAN: Baseline Assessment Survey (BAS) of Seasonal Educational Centers was held today across the district Shopian by Samagra Shiksha in collaboration with Piramal Foundation. 50 Centers were selected for baseline assessment across different Behaks of the district. The Chief Education Office Shopian deployed 50 invigilators for one each centre to facilitate the fair assessment. In addition 6 monitoring teams consisting of various officers and officials were deployed for monitoring purposes.
During the survey, 113, 91 and 41 students have been assessed for Class 3rd, 5th and 7th respectively. After evaluation the remedial methods will be adopted to bring these at par with modern academic disciplines and the efforts will be made to enhance and upgrade the skills of educational volunteers for effective teaching learning process.
The evaluators, monitoring teams and Educational volunteers of various seasonal centers are putting their efforts in making this assessment a grand success. Chief Education Officer Shopian, M Shabir appreciated the meticulous work of every individual in making this assessment a day of celebration across all seasonal centers.
