BANDIPORA: As part of Swachhata Pakhwada, the District Administration Bandipora launched a special awareness-cum-action-oriented campaign aimed at educating the public about converting wet waste into organic manure at the household level was today held at Panchayat Halqa Qazipora. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote sustainable waste management practices and environmental conservation in the district.
On the occasion, a demonstration of converting wet waste into organic manure and segregation of waste at source was held. The practical demonstration, led by Panchayat Secretary Zaffarullah Khan, aimed to empower residents with the knowledge and tools to manage waste sustainably.
Panchayat Secretary said that practical demonstrations on composting techniques were provided to households to ensure they can effectively implement these practices at home. Similar practical demonstrations for the segregation of waste at source were held in various other panchayats of the district to spread awareness and assist households in the initial stages of composting.
