BANDIPORA: In a significant effort towards environmental conservation, the Wullar Manasbal Development Authority (WMDA) today conducted cleanliness and plantation drives at Wular Vintage Park Garoora and Watapora Park as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative. These activities are aligned with the national mission to promote cleanliness and enhance green cover across the country.

On the occasion, Officials of WMDA enthusiastically took part in cleaning the parks, removing litter and ensuring the areas remain clean. Alongside the cleanliness drive, a plantation drive under the theme ‘Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam’ was also carried out, during which various indigenous species were planted.

Mumtaz Ahmad, an official of WMDA highlighted the importance of such initiatives, stating that Swachhata Pakhwada has provided us with an excellent opportunity to strengthen our commitment to cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
