JAMMU: BJP J&K General Secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta, while addressing party workers after listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, reiterated the Centre’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace, prosperity, and democracy in Jammu & Kashmir. He lauded the Prime Minister’s efforts in ridding the Union Territory of terrorism and separatism and establishing a development-oriented governance model.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a deep emotional connection with the people of Jammu & Kashmir. His visionary leadership has steered the Union Territory away from the shadows of terrorism and towards a future filled with opportunity, stability, and growth,” said Vibodh.

Referring to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Vibodh strongly condemned the act, calling it a sign of desperation by the forces opposed to peace. “The cowardly attack is a reflection of the frustration of those who patronize terror. As schools, colleges, and democratic institutions in the Valley begin to thrive, and as tourism and youth employment rise, these enemies of progress are trying to disrupt the peace. But they will not succeed,” he asserted.

Vibodh also emphasized that the Government’s consistent efforts have led to significant improvements in the lives of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, citing the increased infrastructural developments, educational advancements, and the empowerment of the youth. He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to ensuring that the dreams of the people of Jammu & Kashmir are fulfilled and that terrorism finds no space in the Union Territory’s future.

Speaking on the occasion, State Media Incharge Pardeep Mahotra said that PM Narendra Modi’s Man ki Baat is truly inspiring, sparking positivity And hope. He also highlighted various success stories narrated by the Prime Minister in his Mann Ki Baat.

Speaking on the occasion District Secretary Neelam Nargotra said that the Modi government stands firm against terrorism and remains committed to safeguarding every citizen. At the same time, we continue to see remarkable progress in Jammu & Kashmir through infrastructure development, investment, and integration efforts. Sat Sharma, congratulating the owners, emphasized the significance of sports infrastructure in nurturing young talent. Yudhvir Sethi lauded the initiative, stating that investment in sports is an investment in the future. Arvind Gupta stressed the importance of providing modern amenities to support young athletes' aspirations from very early age. Priya Sethi highlighted the Modi government's ongoing efforts in creating a sports-friendly environment across the Union Territory. Owners shared that 'Racket Rush' offers a professional-grade badminton court and introduces Pickleball, a fast-emerging sport gaining popularity among youth. With a mission to promote fitness and competitive spirit, the facility is open to players of all ages and skill levels.

BUDGAM: In a decisive move against terrorism and acting tough against ANEs, Police in Budgam detained two "hardcore" terrorist associates affiliated with terrorist ranks under the stringent Public Safety Act viz Tahir Ahmad Kumar son of Ab Hameed Kumar resident of Pakerpora and Shabir Ahmad Ganai son of Bashir Ahmad Ganai resident of Karpora Pakerpora.

The arrests followed sustained efforts and actionable intelligence indicating the involvement of the duo in providing active support to terrorist outfits operating in the region. By invoking the Public Safety Act, authorities have ensured their detention to prevent further threats to peace and public order.

The detained individuals were instrumental in facilitating terrorist activities, including movement, shelter, logistical support, and their continued engagement in anti-national activities, role in motivating local youth to join banned (terrorist) organisations. The imposition of the PSA was deemed necessary and their detention marks a significant step towards dismantling terrorist support networks in the district. Police have reaffirmed their resolve to act firmly against all elements endangering the safety and security of the region.
