JAMMU: A deputation from Samriti Bhawan, Gurha, led by its President Vikrant Gupta, called upon J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA) at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and submitted a memorandum requesting for the construction of a boundary wall for the community hall situated in the area.
The deputation apprised Sat Sharma that the Samriti Bhawan serves as an important community centre for social, cultural, and public welfare activities of the local residents. They informed him that the absence of a proper boundary wall has been causing inconvenience and security concerns for the people using the premises for public functions, social gatherings, and community programmes.
Sat Sharma patiently listened to the concerns and demands raised by the deputation and immediately took the necessary steps for facilitating the construction of the boundary wall. He issued a letter to the concerned authority regarding the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and initiate the process for financing the project under the MPLADS Scheme at the earliest.
Sat Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, said that community halls and public utility spaces play a vital role in strengthening social harmony and public participation in developmental activities. He emphasized that the BJP-led government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently prioritized grassroots development and public welfare by ensuring better civic infrastructure and community facilities across Jammu & Kashmir.
Sharma further reiterated that the BJP leadership remains accessible to the public and is continuously working to resolve issues affecting the common masses through coordinated efforts and people-centric governance. The deputation members expressed gratitude to Sat Sharma for giving a patient hearing to their concerns and for taking immediate steps regarding the construction work.
The head of the committee, while vehemently thanking the MP Sat Sharma, said that the construction of the boundary wall will greatly benefit the local residents and help in the better utilization and safety of the community hall for public purposes. Prominent members of the deputation and local residents were present during the meeting.
